What Students Will Master

Cell biology and organisation — understanding cell structure, organelles, cell transport, and how cells form tissues, organs, and organ systems
Genetics and heredity — mastering DNA structure, replication, Mendelian inheritance, gene expression, and the molecular basis of variation
Evolution and natural selection — exploring evidence for evolution, mechanisms of speciation, phylogenetics, and the origin of life
Ecology and environmental science — analysing ecosystems, energy flow, nutrient cycling, population dynamics, and conservation biology
Human physiology — studying the digestive, circulatory, respiratory, excretory, nervous, and endocrine systems in depth
Molecular biology and biochemistry — investigating biological molecules, enzyme kinetics, photosynthesis, and cellular respiration pathways
Biotechnology and bioinformatics — applying PCR, CRISPR, gene therapy, genomic databases, and computational biology to real-world problems
Scientific investigation — designing experiments, collecting and analysing data, using microscopy, and writing rigorous lab reports

Programme Overview

The AI Biology Plus Course is structured as a 6-grade developmental progression. Each grade builds on the previous one, advancing from foundational cell biology to university-level neuroscience, immunology, bioinformatics, and capstone research.

Dr. Emily Nakamura

Head of Biology

6 courses9,400+ students4.9 rating

Dr. Nakamura holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from MIT and has 14 years of experience designing biology curricula for international schools across four continents. She previously served as Head of Biology at the American School of Tokyo and led the development of virtual-lab-integrated biology programmes for the IB Diploma.

Her research focuses on computational biology education — specifically how virtual microscopy, AI-adaptive practice, and genomic databases can accelerate students' understanding of genetics, evolution, and molecular biology. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (FRSB) and a contributing author to the Cambridge IGCSE Biology syllabus review committee.

Hear from educators and families who use the AI Biology Plus Course.

“The virtual lab simulations and interactive microscopy have completely transformed our biology department. Students can explore cell structures at magnifications we could never achieve with our school microscopes. The AI-adaptive practice identifies gaps we would have missed.”

Dr. Sarah Okonkwo

Head of Biology, Westfield Grammar School

Lagos, Nigeria

“My daughter went from barely passing biology to scoring in the top 5% of her year. The AI tutor explained genetics in a way that finally clicked, and the virtual dissections gave her confidence before real lab sessions. She now wants to study medicine.”

Maria Gonzalez

Parent of Grade 11 Student

Toronto, Canada

“We rolled this out across all six grades and the vertical alignment is exceptional. Our Grade 12 students produced university-level capstone investigations. The NGSS and IB alignment saved our curriculum team hundreds of hours in mapping.”

Prof. Raj Mehta

Director of Science, Pinnacle International Academy

Singapore
